Laerdal and the American Heart Association (AHA) have, among other things, developed a successful program for improving the quality of resuscitation abilities among hospital staff, called “Resuscitation Quality Improvement Program” (RQI). RQI is based on self-learning of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at a training station, where the learner is performing hands-on skills on an intelligent manikin and receiving real-time voice feedback from the system on how to improve. As there is no human instructor present, RQI rely on sensor-data and software algorithms to provide the most impactful feedback to the learner.
