International Surgical Summer School

The summer school represents a unique opportunity for students of medicine to develop their surgical skills through innovative, hands-on simulation training.

Denmark is a global leader in the field of surgical training using simulation machines. Therefore, CHI is developing and establishing a summer school based on this unique form of training. The summer school is especially meant to attract international, but also Danish students of medicine from the region, who will gain the latest knowledge on and a chance to undergo surgical training using simulation machines. This is unique in the world of medicine, where most surgical training is undertaken through apprenticeship. The improved technique and practical experience resulting from the simulation will give the participants an advantage over other applicants for surgical specialist programmes.
